FAQ

Does this need an API key?

No, not on the free tier — grading runs on Tally's own key. Bring your own only if you're on a legacy self-hosted setup.

Is student data stored?

No. Submissions are read, graded, and posted back to Classroom as drafts. Nothing is retained after the run completes, and answers are never used to train a model.

What if my quiz isn't multiple choice or short answer?

Those are the two types graded today. Long-form essays and file uploads aren't supported yet.

Can my whole department share rubrics?

Yes, on the Department plan — saved rubrics can be shared with any teacher on your seats.
